I've set the Date & Time control panel on my beige G3 to automatically synchronize the time with a network time server, but I always get an error message saying "Unable to set the time. Make sure TCP/IP is set up properly and try again." I have no problems surfing the web or downloading my email, I only have problems with the network time servers to set the time.
Thanks for any help,
Constantin

I'm still using OS 8.6 (haven't gotten around to update it yet). We are connected permanently to the internet through our ISP (not AOL). The strange thing is that I only can't set the time with the server - I can surf the web, get my emails and chat with Yahoo IM without problems.

my guess is that OS 8.6 is buggy. I suggest you update while you can, the most your wallet will allow.
