MySQL won't start. :-(

Hi,

I have tried to find a search function to search for previously topics about this, but failed (maybe I ought to search for "search" hehehe....). Hence, a new question.

I develop a bit on my Mac and have never before had any issues with MySQL. But now it won't start. I haven't done anything to the system except updating to 10.4.11.

I suspect it's a ownership/permission issue (maybe to the tmp folder?), but haven't a clue what it should be....

Can someone help?

I'm answering myself:

A friend helped me out. I wish I could post the solution here for future reference in case someone else ends up with the same predicament, but I can't recall what he did....
