On the Apple.com homepage it now shows a banner reading:
" Watch the MacWorld 2008 Keynote by Steve Jobs, Tuesday afternoon on Apple.com "
Which sounds like we may enjoy the keynote video from the comfort of our armchairs sooner than in recent years. Nothing as of yet on http://www.apple.com...de/appleevents/
Still missing the days of live keynotes ;)

Yeah, back before Apple gear was the most coveted masses of silicon and copper on the planet, we used to watch these keynotes live. I remember watching the anouncement of Jaguar, iPod (5GB for ONLY $500!), etc. live with all the other excited Unix developers in my company.
I know that there would be an intense bandwidth requirement because of the new interest, but I don't think it speaks well of the quicktime streaming server that Apple themselves can't stream their events. It's almost as bad as microsoft using unix servers to do their DNS

macrumors (macrumors.com) has a tool where you can get twitter updates SMS'd to your phone. Instructions are on their website. Macworld is usually my first choice for these updates. However, as I will not be able to be near an internet connection between when the keynote starts and about 6:00pm ET, this seems to be my only option this year.

I'm lovin' everything but one big mistake. 24 hours to view once you start. Hey, if the fam sits down together at 8pm, and you don't finish, then how in the heck can you see the rest if the fam doesn't get back to the couch together until the next night or the night after that - at 8pm again??? This is pitiful for anyone with kids and hectic daily schedules. We can simply NOT watch a movie in one evening. If there's 24 hours, why not at least 28? That gives you two nights instead of one. I can't believe this.
