this seems like such a weird question - in Outlook when I deleted a contact, I could find it in "Deleted Items".
In Entourage - where does it go?
i.e., if you accidentally hit the DELETE button while on a contact, do the contacts immediately get deleted or are they somewhere that allows for recovery?

Make sure Entourage and Address Book are set to sync. Use Time Machine to restore your Address Book.

Alternatively use Plaxo Pro to back-up (and restore) your contacts.

Help me understand why this gets 4 out of 5 mice. I installed Entourage, and I think it's the worst piece of software on my MAC.
- it cannot create HTML email with hyperlinks, and yet it claims to support html email. It also destroys hyperlinks if you forward an HTML email, and yet it can display HTML emails that come with hyperlinks. Duh!
- there is no support for importing PST files from Outlook on a PC. It isn't even compatible with itself!
- You cannot create HTML tables in emails. Tables imported from Excel are destroyed, and you can only insert them as a graphic image.
I like having my calendar, contacts and email all in one place, but the lack of formatting support for email is a show stopper. The lack of PST support is annoying at best, but also a show stopper. If I have to retype all my contacts by hand, I'll surely not do it in MS office. The lack of table support in email is so annoying as to be unbelievable.
I give it one out of five mice, and I want my money back.

I am a fan of Mac Mail and Ical, however they do not function well enough in an agency setting where we deal with clients who are on PC's and use Outlook. Ical has a horrible time sending invatations to outlook and even when I can get it to work with it on PCs I have in the office, I can never tell if it will or will not work for client machines outside the office. Becuase of this it is not an acceptable solution right now. However Entourage 2004 had it's own horrible issues with database Corruption that made life in my happy mac world not so nice. Does anyone know how well E'rage 2008 works via Imap, limiting the size of the database? And how stable it is in Leaopard.

because it gives you a standard of comparison for how much better all the rest of your software is??

I've found that I usually check My Day once in the morning and then
hide it (Ctrl+M) after getting my schedule for the day straight in my
head.
