I just bought a Gigabit airport extreme base station from eBay and I am curious about other people's transition to the new technology. I bought an Airport Express in 2004 and it has been replaced once before on Applecare but has otherwise been a great part of my network.

The biggest thing I'm waiting for with this new router is the increase in throughput at greater range. Have other people noticed a much faster connection to the network from the same location in your house? How about the range? I know I really can't go wrong with this router, because the N speed will be great for streaming movies on other computers.
