Oh c'mon... isn't that getting a little old? Drake's Fortune is an amazing game, most big franchises have been ported and there's a bunch of great releases coming in the next few months. I'm having a lot more fun with this machine than I ever did with my 360 - but that's another story altogether ;-)

You have to remember that our friend Giddyup is the same guy that was hailing the superiority of th Zune the other day. Just your average pro-Microsoft nerd--the one that loves Microsoft when talking to anyone with an Apple or Sony product, but hates them talking to his fellow MS nerds.

Why don't Sony and Apple use the sixaxis gyroscope to make it into an "airmouse" controlling the cursor. This would allow us to finally eliminate the 1980 "tab between fields" interface and utilize the point and click efficiency of a real graphical user interface used on all computers, but do it without the table and useable from the couch. This is so obvious. It seems that only Nintendo actually understands this with the Wii interface. It doesn't take a mental giant to see this point. Screen size and location is irrelevant. "Point-and-click" should replace the "tab-to-next-field" on all screens from head mounted displays to wall size projected images. Have we learned nothing since 1984?????? Apparently not yet.

I second this, Drake's is the best game of 2007 for any platform.

I can't speak to the efficacy of an "airmouse" cursor apparatus, but I'd love to see a Sixaxis-style controller come to the Mac (and for there to be widespread support). All due respect to the Wii and its Remote, I have a lot more fun with the PS3, mainly because I don't have to get up off the couch. :)

Live under rocks much? They already started doing that months ago.
As far as the news, sound great! A friend of mine imported the Jap version of the DualShock 3 (which is fully compatible with the American PS3s since PS3 accessories are region free) and I have to say I like it a LOT more than the Sixaxis. Feels a lot more substantial with better fit and finish. Definitely my favorite game controller for any system so far. I'll definitely be buying one once it's out here.

You guys are a little too confrontational about this stuff. Drake's fortune is a good game, now name another that's a PS3 exclusive....
I merely mentioned that I prefer the Zune (nothing of any superiority debate mind you) I was met with the following responses in fast order:
1st: "Who let the Microsoft fanboy in?
2nd: "We don't take you seriously unless you have more than a dozen posts"
3rd: "Yer just a troll"
Nothing wrong with the PS3, I own one and I like it. My problem is playing games online, more people I know own a 360, therefore it is more fun for me to play online with them on the 360 versions. These 'ports' you mention earlier look exactly the same on both consoles, trust me I've actually played both versions of some games and there is no difference. And while not a deal breaker it would be nice if the PS3 games added a Gamerscore feature or unlockable achievements also.
Why does that comment make me a Microsoft nerd? I am not going to get into personal attacks on this thread as all of them were removed the last time you guys got threatened by an opinion you didn't agree with and ganged up on me.
I put it rather nicely on the last thread that devolved into this ignorant chest thumping. Don't be that guy that gets so wound up in a corporate rivalry that you miss out on the whole picture. There are advantages to both systems, they will both be around a LONG time, and both will have plenty of outstanding exclusive games. Buy both, be happy, and stop being a shill for one side just because somewhere deep down inside you have a sense of inadequacy that forces you downplay one system because you can only afford one or the other.
