At the risk of a full thread of "me too" replies, I'm looking for a solution to a problem: since the update to 1.1.4, Facebook on the iPhone is redirecting to the login page frequently. It's as though it cannot retain the login cookie.

After giving my fiancee an iPodTouch two days ago, she cannot seem to log into facebook either. When trying to access the site, it redirects to the iphone-type page, and doesn't offer a method to log in. Perhaps there's been a change with the facebook page itself?

I logged in today and it asked me for my username/password and I remembered to hit the (keep me logged in button).
And subsequently it doesn't ask me when I return. I put the facebook on my (Add to Home Screen). Sorry don't have
a better suggestion but to maybe logout and re-log in...

I would suggest that you log out of your Facebook account, then go to your iPhone settings and empty the cache and cookies. After that try logging in again and select to remember the account.

Hey guys, I've solved this one, but you need a jailbroken phone, otherwise you're waiting for a fix from Apple. :8}

Short story: permissions on /var/mobile/Library/Cookies is wrong (or assigned to the wrong user).

Hey gang--I fixed the problem by restoring it back to the official 1.1.4 image. (It was Jailbroken when I experienced the error.)
