I have WinXP installed in Bootcamp and use VMware or Bootcamp to boot into windows currently. I want to get rid of my bootcamp partition and re-install WinXP using my OEM disk into Fusion since I only occassionally boot into windows. This would free up the unused space on my bootcamp partition and facilitate easier backups of my windows data. I am worried that I won't be able to re-install winxp since it is an OEM disk. I would be re-installing on the exact same hardware, the only change being I would be using Fusion exclusively instead of bootcamp.
Will this work?
Thanks,
chris

You should be fine. If you are outside of the standard activation "window" (it is either 3 months or 120 days, I forget), activation has reset and you should be able to run through the online activation just fine. If not, then it will route you to manual activation...which means you will have to call Micro$oft and tell them you have to re-install the software and re-activate it...and they should give you the activation code to enter by hand.
