Lies, damn lies & statistics - of course people will try the thing out; that will push up the numbers.
Until Mobile Safari can also play the audio & video on sites such as bbc.co.uk or cnn.com there is nothing special about it except the hype.
The iPod Touch/iPhone offer a very poor mobile www experience which is probably due more to commercial strategy than to a lack of technical ability.
Cynical & Underwhelmed.
