Address book replicates the Apple Corp address multiple times

In my address book each day the address for the Apple Corp is duplicated multiple times ........ this morning I merged 233 duplicate entries for that single address. no matter how many times I remove the address it reappears and begins to duplicate itself.

I run Tiger on a minimac and never had this problem until a few weeks ago ...... following an Apple software update !

I would gladly do away with the Apple address book if a decent one were available to replace it, or at least get Apple out of my book for good!
