.Mac Sync Problem

I am trying to use my .Mac account to sync a 12" Powerbook G4 running Tiger and a MacBook Pro 15" running Leopard. My account is active, paid up and all that, and my iDisk has no troubling mounting on the MacBook Pro. I can access my account, etc, on the Powerbook as well.

This said, when I try to sync iCal calendars by pressing the sync now button on the Powerbook, I get a message after a while that says, "Invalid response from Server, could not complete synchronization, please try again later."

Even weirder, when I initiate the sync from the MacBook Pro, the computer indicates that sync has been done successfully -- i.e., no error message -- but in fact nothing has been synced.

Anybody out there who can help?
