Adding support for hi def TV is not a diferentiator! Adobe Flash has had H.264 support way before Silverlight. See http://technoracle.blogspot.com/20070801_archive.html

At least Adobe Flash authoring tools (Director, Flex Builder) are available on Mac. I doubt Microsoft will ever offer Silverlight authoring tools for Mac users.

Is that For Sure, Play Ready or PlaysReady For Sure.
I have trouble keeping track of which MS DRM is expired and which is on the road to expiration.
Trust your customers and you will have more of them. It's called the Golden Rule.

DRM is only used in failed business models. Secure and fail-proof DRM is impossible. (This has been debated and proven elsewhere.) Therefore, use of DRM requires shifting resources from paying customers to those who are not and never intend to be customers, to prevent a "theft" that never costs you anything. All while insulting and inconveniencing your paying customers. Ultimately making it a more pleasant experience to consume illegal versions of your product than to purchase it.
What part of that business model makes sense?

Explain to me again why I would bother screwing around with Silverlight, instead of just ignoring it and going somewhere else?
Every benefit I've seen has been to content producers, not consumers. That kind of product won't go anywhere.
