How about word on "Nighthawk" which was due spring of LAST year?

Late changes in Leopard (like launchd services) apparently caught little NOW, knee-deep in its enormous NightHawk project, completely unprepared. Yet they had a first beta of NOW 5.3.2 out in October. They just had trouble nailing down the last few problems on menu extras and server protocols. I've been running without problem with a beta for about 4 months.
It's nice to see the "real thing" finally released. I've installed it and restarted with no immediate regressions.

Yes, they bit off way more than they could chew. They gradually realized this, and new people were hired. They're still behind even the revised schedule, but they really are clearly making progress. Many companies have crashed and burned with development problems like this; but I guess that continued sales of NOW UTD/Contact, and the pre-orders for NightHawk have been enough to keep them operating. For a while, anyway.
