YouTube allows file sizes up to 1GB if you use their desktop uploader.
YouTube now has a HiRez viewing option. Those files seem to be encoded with On2VP6 rather than Sorenson Spark which is for the low rez files.
Vimeo has limit of 500MB per week.
Exposureroom.com also allows HiDef.

The one thing this article seems to be missing is the actual 'small print'. I would like to see a comparison on the 'Terms of Agreement' on all of these sites.
Restrictions, availability, copyright, and ownership of the content should be always a matter of concern for any author/filmmaker/producer/director, even as a silly upload of a personal video, can become an 'up-for-grabs' if the 'Terms of Agreement say-so.
Definitely, all of this different services will offer you the benefit of sharing, but until you read that small print, you may end up with a headache if suddenly someone else is making money with your content, and not yourself. Also, think that you may not want to keep control on the content, and most of these sites, once submitted, they have that control.

Each video can be up to 10 minutes in length and up to 1GB in size.

Cseeman says, Vimeo has a limit of 500MB per week.
Why is it listed as having no limits if there is indeed a limit. Can Macworld please check with Vimeo and correct there post if there is a limit? You can't have a limit on 500mb per week if your video is over that to begin with. So to me that is a limit and that is false advertising if they are claiming there is no limit.

Vimeo Price free,
Max file size or length no limit,????
Embedded player yes
HD yes

Vimeo is quite upfront. Macworld is wrong.

Because if YouTube believes you're infringing upon somebody's alleged copyright, your videos are gone before you know it, utterly regardless of whether or not it's true.

Check out http://www.ooyala.com
I found this great site and they do accommodate HD video, unlimited file sizes, and is uniquely capable of intelligently streaming the video at variable rates based on the viewers connection and processor status. They charge $0.08 per hour of viewing time which is incredibly cheap.

And what about Facebook Video. I really like their video application and how easy it is to use and to share video. Check it out inside of Facebook

You missed one. One of my favorite places to post is Archive.org.

I'm not sure if we missed it, or if something changed since we edited the story. Either way, you're right and I've corrected the chart to reflect the 500MB per week limit.
