Apple fixes 70 issues with Mac OS X 10.5.3 update

I've had a really strange problem with 10.5 and G5s. Specifically, when the G5s are bound to our Active Directory system any files copied to our W2K3 servers are locked down. nobody but the G5 user can access them and the server admin has to run a reset permissions batch on the folder. I believe its related to SMB but why its hardware specific I have no idea. The only "solution" I've found so far is to downgrade all G5s to 10.4. This does not affect any of our Intel-based machines.
having said all that, I hope this update fixes this weird SMB problem. I'll post back with results.

Yikes...420MB from Software update (10.5.2) and 536MB for the Combo updater. Good thing broadband is here!
No kidding. I remember having to download patches in parts to assemble them because my connection would take a couple of hours for a 5 MB file.
Just look at this update, close to half a GB. This literally would have taken weeks in the old dial-up days. I wonder if this makes companies more complacent about quality control as far as the initial release.

My download showed 198MB from Software Update... Running iMac C2D 2.0 GHz. After downloading, it took 7 minutes from Restart to booting up with the freshly upgraded system. No problems with CS3 so far... Of course, I didn't know of any InDesign issues to begin with.

Unfortunately NO FIX for Adobe InDesign CS3 'Hide' bug (also here). It still does not work as of OS X 10.5.3 running on PowerPC G5 Quad core and InDesign 5.0.2
Even though this thread is for OS X, Adobe has said previously they were working with Apple to solve the issue. I am assuming it is not Apple the one that has code problems, but Adobe. And they are releasing beta version of some CS4 applications? Adobe, please don't turn into Microsoft. We'll soon hear many stories of people that had to go back to CS2 because CS3 didn't work well ;)

Ah yes, THIS bug. I wasn't sure if it was a bug or an install problem. I've re-installed CS3 recently and have not used InDesign since, so I wasn't sure if it had been fixed. It seems to work intermittently, maybe 45-50% of the time.
How could it be an Apple bug, when the Hide function works with all the other Adobe Apps in the Suite?

Well, maybe NOW Delicious Library 2 will work better? Of these 70 issues, I hope they include the most egregious, that being the back button. Click your way to an Icon View folder, then click back, and you are still in Icon View--despite that folders DSSTORE settings. Automator's Contextual support is buried 3 deep, and extremely slow to start up and do its job. Spotlight defaults to your entire hard drive for a search--not your current folder. Ridiculous stuff like this makes me wish I was still on Tiger.
Apple, why are you being so ridiculous in not fixing the BUGS that are driving me to distraction!? It would take less time to repair the above than it did to download your update! Ugh, this is nuts. Next time I will not upgrade. It's not worth fighting them to fix their errors!
