Yes it was, the entire presentation before Steve unveiled the iPhone 3G was about iPhone v2.0

That's my question - will an iPhone 1.0 updated with 2.0 software get me Exchange support? Don't think that was ever mentioned.

It doesn't end poverty... or climate change... or war...
This update will get you 3rd party applications, that is huge. That development environment is a really big deal. The enterprise features are huge (I'll finally be able to get on the wifi network at work). Listing everything it doesn't have as though they are trivial additions is unbelievable.

BLACK OR WHITE?
This is weird... both with the ipod and macbook, the premier product is black. Now with iphone, the premier product is white!!!

First of all, the iPod is available in silver and black (not white) at the same capacities at the same prices. Similarly the iPhone 3G will be available in two colors at the same prices. I don't see how you can claim the "premiere" iPhone will be white (or that the "premiere" iPod is black). I want a black iPhone 3G.

It's very strange. I would have dropped the price now. Otherwise, people will just stop buying it anyway.
Why should someone buy one at $299 for 8 GB, or $399 for 16? Only playback times are better, and they're not worth the $100 price differential.

That's the same kind of short-sighted thinking that has AT&T jacking up the price and calling it a discount. The service charges on an iPhone (those prices you quote come only with a contract) far outweigh the cost of the unit. You aren't required to spend $840/year on an iPod (or to wait for activation in the store).

Wah! Wah! The WWDC was useless for someone who isn't even attending WWDC. Poor baby.

Yes you did. Your time is valuable, and the WWDC was practically valueless.

They only mentioned email, calendar, and contacts. Near the end of his keynote, Steve said they added "full Exchange support". So does this include notes and tasks or not? Out of all those Fortune 500 companies, pharmaceutical companies, airlines and universities, did not one of them mention support for Exchange notes and tasks? Maybe instead of talking to clueless users who think that Exchange support only means having an inbox, Apple should have talked to more serious Exchange users so that "full Exchange support" actually means full Exchange support.

For the macbook, the user pays a premium for having black.
For the ipod, it used be where the ipod nano (3rd gen I think) the black was only available in 8GB.
Now if you get 4GB you can only get silver.
Its no big deal, but it seemed that they were creating black as the premier color,
now if you get the iphone in 8GB it has to be black and if you really want white you have to opt for the 16GB.
I'm not complaining (I prefer the black) but just thought it was a little inconsistent.

Concerning voice dialing. I looked into it once and concluded that there so many slow and non-voice interactions with the iPhone before I could "talk" to it, that I could have found and dialed it from Favorites or Contacts with less grief. Tell me if I am wrong because I really want it while driving and don't care what it costs.
I see the ATT voice dialing option as the financial driver for Apple not implementing it. Nice work again Apple on implementing the basics. I expect Microsoft will build this app since they bought up the technology. I suppose they will do about as good a job as the did with Vista..............
And I agree that Flash would be nice. Then I might get XM radio on the iPhone.

iPhone2, 3G or XYZ. It doesn't matter. My cellphone provider is Verizon Wireless. In my opinion, they have the best cutomer service and probably best coverage area in th country. So why is Steve Jobs forcing me to switch to ATT in order to get an iPhone? Can he hear me now?
