You may want to clear some font caches. I've been running FF3 for a while under beta, updated today and notice no problems on any of the sites you mention. I don't know what your site is supposed to look like but all seems fine to me. Very readable and no strange spacing issues I can tell.

What is this??? "The company may have been a bit unprepared for the onslaught of Web traffic" after quite pointedly encouraging a monster download day??? The whole thing is nothing but a publicity stunt anyway. There is absolutely nothing in Firefox 3 that would warrant this kind of attention. You can dress a brick in silk knickers, but it's still a brick.

That's all well and good for a personal web site or a blog. However, if you're depending on your web site for business purposes, you need everyone to be able to view it properly. Unfortunately, that means either dumbing down the code for IE or it means using Javascript to determine the browser and create alternate web pages or CSS files for your web site. That's the unfortunate reality most web developers are faced with.

On a side note, I downloaded Firefox 3 last night. It's a nice improvement over version 2. I'll play with it for a while, but I haven't seen anything yet which would lead me to give up Safari as my primary browser for the Mac side. I used to prefer Firefox on Windows, but with Safari 3.1, I've made that my default on Windows as well.

Totally agree with you Steve. I'd only do that for a personal website. :D Of course, in a few years most of us may use smart phones as our primary portal to the internet. In that case, Safari would be the dominant browser, so I wouldn't have to re-direct people anymore. :D
