You've given up the iPod or exercising in the past seven years I take it?
I run, on average, 30 miles a week. I also do a regular program of work with a exercise ball, free weights, and a jump rope. I work two German Shepherds regularly, which is quite vigorous. That said, I've yet to have my ear buds fall out from exercise. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but the ear buds stay in place unless I literally turn my head sideways.

I've yet to find a pair of in-ear headphones that will stay in my ears. I spent too much money trying different kinds when I got my first iPod a few years ago. I finally settled on a $20 pair of Sony ear phones that have ear wraps like the BudFits, but sit over the ear canal rather than in it. These are great for walking around and riding the bus - and exercising. And the sound is excellent for the price.

Another cool product is called Budcase. Pretty neat little carry case for earbuds. http://www.budcase.com
