Dan,
If possible, can you check with AT&T to see if we'll be able to add data to existing lines? I'm currently on a Family Plan with my iPhone and only had to add the extra $20 for data. The new plans seem to include data for TWO iPhones, and I don't need that (or else its $60 for data on the family plans??)

I want to know whether the new owner of my old iPhone will be paying the new rates, or will they get to continue my old contract at the old rates?
I paid more for the original phone and got lower rates for 2 years (ad infinitum) and don't want to "upgrade" if this means both my new and old phone will be paying the higher rates. I'd like to pass it off to my brother, but it makes no sense if he's saddled with the new rates when he doesn't get 3G or GPS, and when I paid more for that phone initially.

Along the similar theme as the two other questions, I have an iPhone purchased a year ago and I pay $20/mo for the data plan. I would like to purchase the new phone and give 1st gen iPhone to my wife (I'm such a giver). We currently have the AT&T family plan - I am eligible for an upgrade but she is not. A few questions:
-> For our current phone, can I maintain the $20/month data plan? I already paid full boat for the 1st gen phone.
> Can I purchase the 2nd gen iPhone for my wife, then switch the SIM cards, thereby maintaining the original contract on my phone?

I have my iPhone on a family plan (added $20+tax to bill when I got it in February). So it sounds like to get new iPhone 3G, I activate it w/ my existing number which then deactivates the original iPhone. I can then give it to my wife and she can activate it w/ iTunes (replacing her razr). The question is, will she be able to get the $20 data plan on the original iPhone. Will we be adding $30 to our plan for the 3G data, or will we be adding $40 ($30 for the 3G data and another $10 because she can't get the $20 rate on the original iPhone any more).
Thanks!
Thanks!

I'd like to know if AT&T will be allowing corporate (non-AT&T) employee discounts to be applied since they're going to a more traditional, subsidized model. I currently have all Razrs on my plan (one for me, one for my wife, and one for my mother-in-law) and get a pretty hefty discount on the main line's basic service. The main line is the one I'd like to replace with an iPhone.

Are you saying that it is $60/month for unlimited data for everyone is the family plan? If so, where did you find that?

Are you saying that it is $60/month for unlimited data for everyone is the family plan? If so, where did you find that?Well I have to assume its $60 for two lines since thats the difference between the normal 2 line 700 minute plan and the one listed here. I assume additional lines will be around $40 ($30 data + $10 for voice).
