Perhaps, but I have to say that their arguments sound valid. At least to me, from what was presented in the article. I'm not going to read the 33-page document :)

Well, it's all based on supposition, isn't it? Yahoo "expects" this and that to happen. Who really knows. But when you're a public company, you have to do what your shareholders want - even if what they want is to sell you off to the Evil Empire (MS) or just run you into the ground (Icahn).
