"Call me cheap, but with the economy going in the toilet, I just cannot stay on the cutting edge any longer"
One reason the economy is tanking is because people aren't spending money!! Of course, no one has money because we have to buy gas!
But that's for another forum.
I use Firefox and the Google Toolbar so I always have my bookmarks available. I know, I know. Google is probably cataloguing the sites with my email address, but I don't have anything to hide....yet.
I think I'll drop by the ATT store and pick up an iPhone. I should be able to walk right in and out in a matter of minutes...right???

I was able to download the MobileMe update on my MacBook Pro early this morning (9am or so Eastern) but not on my iMac later in the day. I cannot sign in to MobileMe (on the MBP) or .Mac (on the iMac) as of now (4pm or so Eastern).
I'm very glad I moved my data off my iDisk before all this started...

Well that was last Wednesday. And this is this Wednesday. No emails. Cant send, recieve or see the old ones. Total mess.
Wow, Really? Mine's working fine. For a while there I was getting 2 of the same emails. I'm sure each one was to my .Mac and .Me addresses. I sure wish I could synch my notes. I still can't believe that they can't make that work.

Its been a nightmare. And Im not the only one I know.....as far as Im concerned Apple have treated their former .mac customers with contempt and I intend to treat them the same way. I'm in the process of making a fairly complicated switch of all my online business over to gmail. Shame, but I cant trust Apple anymore.

I can't blame you. I'd probably do the same thing. Apple hasn't disappointed me yet so I'll stick around and see what happens.
I certainly have no complaints about Gmail. The email is very bare-bones, but their spam filter is incredible. Spam hardly ever makes it through and I've yet to have good mail get marked as spam. Google leads the way again!
