I would exercise caution. I upgraded to the MobileMe, and now I am having Mail issues. I have all my accounts and folders stored both on the server and locally, and I am seeing quite a bit of sluggishness. The folders are taking a while to load up, and each message displays a "loading" screen for a little bit before I can actually see the message.
I expect that it'll go away once the server issues are solved. Serves me right for installing it after blogging about how I was going to be patient about it.

I don't mind waiting. And I feel the same about "technical problem" delays at the airport:

Don't hurry guys. Take your time and get it right!

me.com is now working for me but I get this message when trying to access mail:

Mail is temporarily unavailable.
We're working hard to restore normal service. Check back soon!

I'm in the UK. And unfortunately when I go to www.me.com it redirects me to http://www.apple.com/mobileme/

Does anyone no when it will be fully up and running over here?

Thanks for the help.

I can't access the software update for Mobile Me or my iDisk or web mail.

But my iPhone is still getting mail sent to my account. Now if I could just get in to clear off a ton of mail I would be happy.

Aliases will automatically be transfered onto your Mobile Me Mail (web application) and will still be usable in Mail (desktop application)

I am going to wait until everything is cleared up before downloading anything. I found that at http://www.apple.com/startpage/ the spot occupied by either .mac or MobileMe (right side) is showing "This service is temporarily ..." (clipped) so until this shows up properly, MobileMe is not working and I won't worry about it. I get my mail just fine through the Mail client (I feel sorry for web-only email users, they won't get their mail until MobileMe is up).

Thanks; but how do I create a new one? I have already downloaded the mobileme app and just got new icons, but not the possibility of creating the "alias"@me.com corresponding to the old "alias"@mac.com

Apple is working on this. I just tried me.com again and it went to the logon page. After logging in, it went to the idisk tab but trying to change tabs, dropped me out. I can't get back in. They seem to almost be there. I saw the last post and they said they were in but I'm not staying in, nor can I get back in.
