Awesome. What's great is that this can be used as a built-in way to crop your photos! Just go to the photo you want to crop, zoom/pan to what you want, and take a screenshot. Voila, you've got a cropped version of that photo in your Camera Roll. Just tried it, and it works great!

Boy. Screen capture. Awesome. Thanks for pointing this out.
What'll they think of next? Before you know it, we'll be able to two-finger click on a photo displayed in Safari and choose "Save to Photo Roll" from a dialog. Or maybe a two finger double tap will invoke copy mode, where the next one-finger movement highlights text to be copied to a temporary memory holding location--called a "clipboard"--from which we can later paste into an email or a note or a list. If only Apple had already filed to patent the finger gestures to do just such activities with touchscreens. With this out of the way, maybe they will set their sights on MMS, or legalized tethering, or turn-by-turn GPS navigation with dynamic tracking overhead maps. I know.... don't expect it all at once. Still, AAPL spent $292M in their last Qtr on R&D. That's $4.86M a day and they can't copy-n-paste or send MMS.

Here's an easy way to grab screenshots from the iPhone SDK's iPhone Simulator, directly to TIFF format for easy upload to iTunesConnect when uploading to the App Store. http://www.24x7digit...nescreengrabber
