Aggreed that is is susposed to be "all that." I am a little ticked that I never was informed that .mac would be down for 2 days so they could get ready for Mobile Me. And as of now I am still waiting to be able to sign in to mobile me for more than a second from my macbook. The last time I tried to "push" to or from my phone all I got was an address book and a calendar with nothing on. I am just waiting for the damn thing to star working correctly.

I've found the posts interesting. Mail that my mobileme account received is pushed to my iPhone almost immediately. However, changes at my laptop are not "really" push, because I either have to wait for the Sync to push the change to MobileMe or I need to click the Sync icon.
This is unlike a change I might make on Outlook at work, that is immediately pushed to my Blackberry from the bez server.
I imagine this will tighten up over time.

Anyone having problems syncing other accounts? I had to forward my work messages to me.com accnt. This works, and keeps the info current with all my devices, but I cannot figure out how to send an email through the me.com accnt with my work email address in the reply instead of *@me.com

Well not wanting to pee on anyones leg but with 3 Mac's at home I am unable to check email on MobileMe but came in the office this morning and tried to logon using Explorer 7 and much to my amazement after passing the warning from Apple that it may not work or work slower it actually gave me a login, which allowed me to see my email finally after 5 days without access. Kind of blows the theory about how fantastic Safari and Firefox are when both refuse to work on Mac's.
Anyone who tolerates this MobileMe rip-off is not in contact with reality. You pay for a service and it fails to deliver; in legal terms it's considered theft of service. I paid for access to .Mac; something I won't do again when it expires in 12 days.. oh yea Apple is great about telling me that part.
Apple tarnished their good name and put themselves on the same level as Microsoft when it comes to bone-head roll outs of new products and services. Oh almost forgot, one of the little programs downloaded for my iPod Touch locked up and will not work either and it was a commercial one, so it seems Apple is the looser in this debacle. I would be interested in how many people with drop the MobileMe experience - I don't pay for frustration (except ex-wives)!

Just to balance out all the complaining.
1. I've been able to get my email from my Mac and iPhone throughout the entire upgrade.
2. I've been able to log in to me.com consistently since Saturday. Very spotty on Friday
3. Synchronization has been instant from Mobile Me and the iPhone. A couple of minutes from my laptop.
4. Speed with Firefox is acceptable for a web application. There are some visual abnormalities with Firefox, but works perfectly with Safari
5. I haven't used IE 7, since I just downgraded to IE 6 at work due to IE 7 bugginess. I'll have to try Firefox or Safari on my Windows machine.

"Just to balance out all the complaining" A profound statement indeed considering you are 1 in literally hundreds of complaints across many forums! Doesn't quite balance does it? You either work for Apple or just have some devine skill that is circumnavigating all the .me shutdowns and errors. This is day 5 without access to email on my Mac - oddly enough I can get to it on my work computer using Explore 7 - even slow I need access to my email. Thus far Apple support has not responded within the 24 hours they promised - do you think they are up to their ass in alligators? I love my Mac's and I have several, but I hate MobileMe; it brings back the days of PC frustration - the reason I went Mac! Thanks but no thanks, but if you want you can send me some of your devine support and make my access work - 11 days and my account closes, but I expect an additional 5 days added on for loss of service. I wonder how many "Class Action" lawyers are out there lurking?

No, I don't work for Apple and I don't have any devine skill. I checked this forum update because my Mobile me mail updated from the Safari Browser I just downloaded for Windows.
I'm just trying to point out that forums are for complaining. If you check posts in other forums I'm just as quick to complain. In fact I was bullshit about the 5 hours my iPhone was down. The only reason I'm keeping updates on this thread is because I'm anticipating some problems, but so far, no joy.

Push Question - I have an ipod touch and my wife has a iPhone. I have
an individual mobileme account under my name and have push set up to
push my email, contacts and calendar to my ipod touch. If I want to
also sync the calendar and contacts with my wife's iPhone, do I need a
Family Pack mobileme membership so that she has a me.com address too?
It seems the push is tied to the me.com email address, but I can't seem
to find an answer on this anywhere.

After tweaking with the .Mac Sync System Preferences Panel, I was able
to get Synching, with Mobile Me, to work with Tiger. I tried to run a
"Synchronize with .Mac" manually with just "Bookmarks" and "Calendars"
selected. The Synchronize cycle started and then completed with these
two selections and then Synching worked fine with all the items
selected after that -- even with Automatic Synchronize.
So Apple has allowed Tiger to continue it's .Mac Synchronization under Mobile Me.
