Do you ever feel sick playing it?

Only when poor Aiai wails as he plummets to certain doom. :)

Quote: "You can pause mid-game by touching the clock, but if you need to exit, you’ll find yourself restarting the game the next time you play—frustrating for people who don’t have unlimited time to play games on their iPhone."
I was wondering about that. Anybody know how far you have to go before you can save your game?

I don't know about anyone else, but to me the game seems ridiculously sensitive to the accelerometer so much to the point where I have difficulty navigating on training portion!

Anyone else experiencing this? Should I just practice for hours to get better or does someone have a suggestion? :)

There are two things to remember with Super Monkey Ball -- first, keep your iPhone level. This really confused my son, who's accustomed to playing on Game Boys, where vertical orientation doesn't matter -- even though we had a Wii, he was thinking hand-held.

Secondly, don't exaggerate movements. It's easier to correct small movements than it is to compensate for big ones. And yeah, controls are twitchy, which is why I say I doubt this game is going to be real popular with commuters who might get jostled around a bit on the train or on the bus.

Thanks so much Peter, yeah, I definitely couldn't see playing it anywhere where I was moving, unless I just wanted a serious challenge! I appreciate the suggestions! :)

Unfortunately, I wonder if my settings are a bit skewed because when I place my iPhone onto a flat surface and start the game, I rush forward. I think this is what's causing the biggest problem but because it's so sensitive, I don't know that I'll really be able to get used to it. I do really appreciate the feedback though and hope that other people have better luck with it!

I won't even consider buying this game until it lets you save your place. That's a deal breaker for me and I'm glad I held off when the App Store first opened.

I doubt your settings are skewed - I have the same experience as you. perfectly flat actually does send the monkey rolling forward. so, "level" for the game, i.e. no monkey movement, is actually a little bit tilted up toward your face. It's not too hard to remember where that position is after you've raced a few tracks. and, don't give up! It seems too hard at first, but, after I played for 20 minutes one day, came back to it a couple days later and played for half hour, I made it past a couple tracks that I thought I'd never be able to. It was a nice feeling of accomplishment, if you can call it that.

Does anyone know how to enter your name? I can enter one letter but I can't figure out how to move forward and enter the next letter. I end up having to quit and restart the game. Other than that, I really like the game.

I have to agree. I really like the Wii version of Super Monkey Ball, but I find the iPhone version to be an exercise in frustration. I hope a future version tweaks the controls.
