Actually, "Executive Decision" was a good Steven Seagal movie. I think we all know why.

Because his character dies in the first 30 minutes?

Careful in canceling your FAN account. I was told today from an apple store employee and one from at&t they may not offer the discount again if you drop it. I spoke with an apple manager and tried to buy it and ship it to the at&t store but was told the rules would not allow them to do it. The apple store in orlando had plenty of 3g iphones but the at&t store said it will probably be september before they see any more. Apple says its at&t's fault for not ordering enought phones and at&t says its apples fault for not shipping more phones. Anyway you look at it, the customer gets abused again.

This is just not true. If you are an active member of an institution or company that has the FAN attached, you can drop it and pick it up any time.

In my case, I had attached it when I heard they were going to let you use it with the new iPhone plans. Silly me, I forgot that this prevents you from buying a phone (cause ATT doesn't ever have them...)

So I dropped it (make sure you do this a day before you go to buy a phone at least) and bought the phone (love it) and then reattached it in 5 minutes.

Now - if you are still using a FAN from an institution to which you no longer belong, I can't help you there, and of course you may not be able to add it back.

Good luck!
