all I REALLY want is a good timer app - so I can track my work time whether I'm sitting at my desk or working from home. There is one timer on there (Lion timer I think its called), but it is $30 for the BASIC version. There are tons of other timers out there for the desktop that are $20. paying $30 for a stripped down version is just insane.

A database program that can sync with a desktop program. Comments based on Palm experience.
I. jFile/FMSync/Filemaker was a pretty good combo. Except FMSync was always flakey (would lose track of things; but it was free and the developer tried--suspect working with Palm syncing was no fun), FM is expensive. jFile is great (but never offered syncing and their jShopper is great too; but no mention of .

II. more versatile SplashID: 1) lockable and not locked databases, 2) improved desktop app (comments based in Palm version)
I hope some developer is listening. It can't be databases per se because Ultralingua seems to have it working; maybe syncing is the issue.

I'm also waiting for a good customizable database program like jfile that has desktop synchronization.
