So what if anything does this mean in America? I have been hearing so much about HTC phones and that they are iPhone killers, but can they actually be purchase here in America or is it only offered abroad? This has always confused me.
I am very happy with my 2G iPhone but would be very curious to actually see one of these phones that are possibly better than it.

they have been selling phones is the usa for years..

Their phones are ok, but most run on Windows Mobile, and we all know how lame that platform has been for a long time...
Supposedly WM6 is alot better, but I haven't used a device with it yet..

Ask them if they sold 1 million in 3 days!
Oh... wait... they are in 50 places, doubling the iPhone.
So, either they sold 1 million in one and a half day or two millions in three days.
There is a quite important difference between "having to sell" and "already sell" the cellphones!

HTC makes the HTC touch... it should be illegal for them to even call it touch.. it is a cheap, PLASTIC PRESSURE SENSITIVE screen.
I bought one just to show with the iPhone to show what a POS the HTC touch is...
The diamond is the same crap with a different name. Every HTC product I have seen is a load of crap.
The only thing I have seen that is in the iPhone famiy (and far from an iPhone killer) is the LG Dare... accelerometer and all on that phone...
HTC makes crap. In fact, I took an HTC a few minutes ago and flushed it down the toilet, then I wiped my Windows Mobile.

Ok, I guess I have seen two of those phones offered by Verizon, they just don't say on them that they are HTC, they have Verizon and some confusing number. I'll have to run by a store and see one to see what all the fuss is about I guess. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
