Hi gang, my wife has started using a digital camera from work and I instantly thought of hooking it up to iPhoto, when I did, the application did not recognize that any camera was attached. Is the camera itself not supported or am I not connecting it correctly. Thanks for your replies.

LarryC

P.S. the camera is a toshiba pdr-m81 digital still camera.

Larry,

Taking a quick look at Apple's iPhoto Compatibility Page, you'll see that your Toshiba isn't listed. However, that doesn't mean it won't work with iPhoto. Is that Toshiba relatively new? If so, it probably works.

If it doesn't, you can try to see if Image Capture recognizes the camera. Open Image Capture and plug the camera in.

The last option would be to buy a compatible media card reader to upload your photos onto iPhoto.

Thank you for your reply, I'm not sure how old the camera is, I don't think it's too old. I'll check with the wife.

if it's not supported by Apple, you may want top check toshiba's web site to see if they have a driver for OSX or OS9.
