Anyone out there willing to bet the next generation of MacBook Pros will be Carbon Fiber?

Wow, that would be cool. Not sure if the costs could be harnessed to make it possible, tho. If Apple could hurdle that speed bump...

The new MacBook Trail, housed in a lightweight, high impact, scratch resistant, high tensile strength carbon fiber shell. Remarkable WiFi range. LED backlit 12" LCD panel. Re-designed MacBook-style keyboard. Two button, grown-up mouse. External Blu-ray DVD RW drive. Super lightweight, compact and efficient footprint. Removable battery. The Road Warrior's constant companion.

Where's my checkbook? :-)

Sounds good to me, only I would change the LED backlit screen to an LED screen! Heck, if they can roll it out for the Olympics, why not the next generation MacBook Pro?

The iPhone just got updates, so it would make sense for the iPod touch to follow suit. I'm betting the 8 GB touch will drop to $199, 16 GB for $299, 32 GB for $399...with maybe the introduction of a 64 GB model for $499. I doubt there will be any substantial new features -- although I'd love physical volume controls -- because Apple probably wouldn't want to overshadow the iPhone.

I'll be commuting on the train every day soon, so I'm pulling for a new iPod touch. Plus I love the idea of leaving my MacBook at home for trips where I know I'll only need web access and email.

There's the confusing "issue" with consumers as to; why the iPhone is very much cheaper than the iTouch? It's a more usable/capable device because of it's full communication capabilities.
I know others have pointed this out before, but this Sept. would be a great time to lower the iTouch price, increase features, and put this to rest!
