In OSX I got the message: "Apple Remote Desktop was not properly installed. Try reinstalling the application". I've already trashed the app. icon for it. However, I cannot uninstall Apple Remote Desktop (the System Preference Icon etc) in order to do the clean install. When I reinstall over what's already there, I get the same message. Anyone have any clues?? images/icons/smile.gif

use Finder to search for all "Apple Desktop Sharing" files, and delete them
take a look in /Library/PreferencePanes or /Users/[your username]/Library/PreferencePanes and delete the PrefPane for Desktop sharing

hope it helps,

there is a knowledge base article on this, somewhere, but it was hard to find.l. the file you are not finding is somewhere really cryptic and named something screwed up. If you can't find it i will dig it up at work tomorrow, and post it here. It was a real PITA to figure it out.
actually it looks liek they have an unistaller now?
