I believe the Mac market share is quite a bit lower outside of North America. Maybe Macs are not seen altogether in some countries (???). This is the kind of international exposure that Mac needs.

Aperture sites and forums: Prepare to see a LOT of new members.
Aperture is so easy to use, it's hard not to love it, especially when you're crunching away at a task with a tight deadline and you suddenly realize, if I had been doing this the way I used to, there's no way I could have finished in time.
I can't wait to see what streamlining comes of this. However, I hope Apple developers also pay attention to user requests that want more fine controls no Aperture's image editing, export, layout, and plugin infrastructure.

Yeah, when I was in Hong Kong I couldn't see any Apple advertisements. I hope that opportunities like this can expose more people to Mac OS X.

I really want Apple to partner with ROES or LabPrints (or both) so that Aperture users can place orders with their preferred print labs without leaving Aperture. This would be a HUGE timesaver for wedding photogs.

I wish rhat they would make it so that aperture prints to normsal home printers easily and without making me jump through a multitude of hoops trying to get the damn thing to work.

Does Aperture have the same ease as Photo mechanic as well as ease to click edit and bring photos into photoshop?

I thought the one print dialogue box works well enough. It has a couple extra settings you can change around to make your prints come out exactly as you want them, but you can still just choose the size and hit "print." About the only thing I have to do is bump up the gamma to 1.05, and then all my photos look better than lab quality.

If you've got questions or concerns with the print ability, why not start up a discussion in the forums?

Assigning it is done under "Preferences," and to open a photo or group of selected photos in the external editor, either right click on the selection and then choose the option, or use my favorite method: Shift-Command-O

With Aperture, I found the need for Photoshop was considerably less. 95% can be done more effectively and much faster in Aperture.

How about a picture showing Mac Pros in the Olympic media centre crammed to the gills with users.

I'm really curious how this open workstation setup works (which is why it's disappointing there are no active pictures to accompany the article).
Aperture tends to take your pics and file the originals/edits around so I question if they're really getting paid pro photogs to sit down and work on these public machines.
