Are violent movies banned from iTunes?
Is this just because comics are for kids? Even the ones not for kids?
I'll be amused when ID soft releases their big iPhone game,
only to get it disapproved because it's violent.

I really, really hate nanny staters. I'm not pro-pr0n or pro-violence. I neither have nor will I ever buy or play Grand Theft Auto of any kind. But !@$#%!@!!!! I should have the choice to do so if I so choose. I don't need Big Brother telling me what's acceptable and what isn't. I think my folks did a pretty darn good job of raising me, at least to the point where I can make this kind of decision for myself.

I truly hope Apple decides on how they want to police content. Had you probably used a different title for your app (keeping the content the same) you would be in the app store by now. Or, if they did indeed use the content to filter your app out, then had you started with simple comic story line initially you would be in. This game of Content Cop needs to be stopped, or at a minimum, well defined. I'm not a comics reader at all and this app would definitely lure me.
I blogged about my entire opinion on this matter and give Infurious lots of credit for reinventing the world of comics.
