Apple announces special event September 9

I used to be excited about these, but not anymore.
As far as I am concerned, Apple has put out nothing but Crap since the latest AppleTV and the iPhone 2.0, 2.01, and 2.02 software.
I will not be purchasing any more apple products until they get their stuff straight. To this day my iPhone will not properly update play counts for iTunes. I cannot use regular headphones with the iPhone 3G and talk on the phone like I could with the first generation of iPhone (the old one would pipe the caller through the headphones and use the phone microphone for audio... no longer does that).
Phone crashes constantly (more than ANY windows mobile phone I have ever owned)...
I'm done getting excited over Apple for awhile... just my opinion of course, but they are no longer the great company they once were. I'm more excited about XBOX 360 updates these days.

Will Apple ever remember things like "OS X Leopard", "PowerPC", "Graphics Drivers", "OS X updates"?
If their plan is becoming iPod/iPhone company eventually releasing everything on Windows, they shouldn't bother us. I am getting ready for "Install windows to machine you built, optimise it for 15 days" routine.
Sorry to sound pessimist or angry, I am really sick of the Apple can't concentrate anything other than iPhone. I am speaking about real, measurable issues with Leopard and NO, no hacks or anything installed.
Where the hell is 10.5.5?

Don't be surprised if they release 10.6 as a "soft upgrade" or DVD ROM.
As a PPC user, I don't ask ppc 10.6 or anything, I just want a "performing equal or better than 10.4.11" 10.5.x. I am hoping the "graphics card driver updates" rumoured to be in 10.5.5 will finally end this "boot to 10.4.x to play game" comedy.

I had a problem with my iPod Touch not updating my play counts too. It was really driving my nuts until I found out that if your iPod is in manual mode play counts do not sync. It has to be set to automatically sync the library/playlist. Hope this helps :)

I don't necessarily get excited about iPod updates either, but let's try to keep in mind the huge gold mine Apple found with the iPod. The iPod and iTs deserve a fair amount of credit for Apple's current financial status.
Music players are now a very competitive market space. Without constant innovation, Apple could very quickly become an also-ran in a product category they helped create.
Again.

Waaaaahhhhhhh!!!
This is a reply to all the negative posts.
2 years ago y'all wouldn't have even complained. You know why? Because you wouldn't have even dreamed the iPhone / iPod touch, etc was even plausible, much less come to expect and demand X or Y feature set / functionality.
But now that Apple has brought product(s) to the free market that no other lazy a$$ company could ever dream of and has yet to come close to match.... what do you do. You start complaining about tiny little stuff that they should do better.
Now don't get me wrong, some criticism is necessary, but seriously, stop whining like a 5-year old that doesn't yet know how to properly communicate with mom and dad.
Apple does need to fix a few things no doubt. But they have a great track record of doing so in a timely manner. Not to mention there isn't a single other competitor in the free market that is even close to the streamlined, end-user orientated, functionality of iPhone, iPod touch, etc.

I pay $250 per month to ATT... i paid God knows how much to Apple for the phone. Apple made promises and misleading commercials. They also forced me to use a credit card. I think I've earned the right to "whine".
If it had been ANY other company I would have called the bank and charged it back with "product not as described". And I would win the chargeback... YouTube is full of "true" iphone performance versus what's in the TV spots.

Seriously for a first post you sound a bit like fanbois of say 16 am I about right?
I have invested a lot of money in Apple, and I expect them to 'just work' as advirtised. Apple need to stop releasing new products and get the ones they have working, They have admitted as much with the debacle over .Me and leopard.
