I hope the $199 is not just for the iPhone app.
Home automation is one of those technologies that seems to have a lot of potential, but is too expensive for all but the most hardcore enthusiast. In one of those chicken-and-egg paradoxes, without widespread early adoption, prices can't come down and the consumer base remains small.
Robotics is another one.
