That's 5 p.m. over here in the UK. I guess this means I'll be up half the night downloading and exploring any updates unless they release them before the event (unlikely).

New nanos.
Updated iTunes and iPhone/iPod software.
New commercials.
Gnarls Barkley performance.
One more thing...? New iPod Touch Photo! (Built-in 2MP camera).

@macworldfan: Do you have any sources we could look at? I'd love to learn more about the stuff you mentioned here.
Grrr... I think Apple should have created the first iPod touch with a camera, anyways. I can hardly believe they didn't put the original iPhone apps in the iPod touch in the first place! Then came the January software upgrade...

Do you know anything else about the new iPod touch? What will the price be like? Are there other new features besides the camera, or is that it? A built-in speaker would be awesome!

Personally I'm not too excited about any iPod updates, but I sure hope to hear some news (if any) about a subscription based service!

Back when I was a PC user (switched to Mac this year) I had tried the Zune Pass service for a few months and loved it! Hated the software, but loved that I could just download almost anything.

has anyone noticed that the iphone 3g home screen displayed on the iphone 3g box and on the apple home page has its calendar icon set to Tuesday the 9th? Maybe today really will be a big deal....we'll see

I'd say that's probably just coincidence. Either that or Apple is crazy enough to have a dynamic image there because not only is it today's date but it also says 9:42 AM for the time which happens to be my current time. ;)

right, that's all well and good, but the BOX that iPhone 3g comes in when you buy it in the store also says tuesday the 9th

I wish you had formatted the text to be the latest at the top. Every time I refresh I have to scroll to the bottom. A real pain.
