The update is very nice indeed. Everything seems quicker, especially contacts (thankfully). Nice to see some security revisions too.

Yeah, but the fact that apps can't access each other's data is sometimes a BAD thing. Like now, I can't use filemagnet to transfer my frotz files.
There should be a common space for apps to put data.

@frenchie16 try airsharing for the iphone. i liked filemagnet, but airsharing mounts to your desktop and for now it is free...

I don't know about security.. but I said a lot of bad things about Apple and ATT with the latest iPhone revision (3G, 2.0).... I was so ready to terminate ATT and be on my way.
I got the 2.1 update... it's amazing what software will do.
I am in Albuquerque, NM... we have 3G, yet my iPhone ONLY got Edge, 3G would promptly be NO SERVICE...
After 2.1 I get full 3G everywhere!
Apple, you have totally redeemed yourself! I know the iPhone 3G was rushed out before it was ready.. technically 2.1 should have been 2.0, but they had to make it to market... I so far am very happy with the iPhone again, and will once again proudly say "Get an iPhone, it's the best platform out there."
Thanks Apple... faith is restored!
