Have you tried AOL Radio 2.0 for Mac? It works pretty well and seems to have a good number of radio stations.

mass editing isnt new in itunes 8... maybe its more visible (havent downloaded it yet) but in earlier versions (definitely 7, maybe 6 too) all you had to do was select multiple songs in your library via shift-clicking or cmd/ctrl-clicking the songs, then right clicking whats selected and hit 'get info'. a popup would appear asking you if you wanted to edit multiple items, then you would click yes, and edit whats needed.

The grid view is good, but the way you view the songs in an album could easily be better.

The album art should flip like on the iPhone to show the songs on the backside. Or show a temporary window (ala the Dock's grid and stacked view,) when you click on a corner of the album or hover your mouse.

Any of these ideas seem better than how viewing the songs on album in Grid view is implemented now. I want to skim a few albums and see songs and ergonomics/usability wise it's jarring to see an entire new screen with the list of songs and then having to move my mouse up to "back to albums" to go back. And then finding your place again. It's functional, but not elegant and as nice and slick as it could be.

Genius is nice. But isn't as good as they've hyped it. It doesn't seem to make any cross-genre lists which limits its usefulness, but maybe I'm the only one that listens to music from a variety of genres. And yeah it recommends songs I already own for purchase.

Also I'm a bit divided on the capitialist instrusiveness of it all. It's kind of neat to see recommendations. Kind of scary a feature is really a disguised advertisment. Kind of blurs the line there.

I don't care about the visualizer stuff. I'm sure I won't get far past the check out stage there.

Extra podcast features are welcome.

all i know is this: genius did not work for any of my classical music, which includes both well known and obscure music. And its inability to work with my classical music announced itself with a too audible beep.
The current album listing is fine, but iTunes has failed to find about 90% of my albums, and so if I don't mind looking at those little black boxes, it's even, umm, minimal.

I find myself using list view

When are we going to see a review of PowerTunes, which allegedly makes up for some of iTunes' file management deficiencies?

DANGER WILL ROBINSON!! DANGER! DANGER!
There is a really annoying bug with the iTunes store in iTunes 8.
If you purchase a TV season in HD, it will download two copies of each episode, the HD version (first) and the standard def version.
DO NOT DISABLE SIMULTANEOUS DOWNLOADS. If you do, the standard def episodes will overwrite the HD episodes because the file names are the same. How stupid is that?!
Apple knows about this problem, yet there is no warning for it. When troubleshooting missing HD TV shows, you'll find the advice from Apple to avoid disabling simultaneous downloads.
I reported this problem through iTunes and it took ONE WEEK for iTunes to send me an automated acknowledgement of my issue. Pretty unimpressive.
Please feel free to repost this in other visible forums so that others can avoid the issue.

This mass edit is NOT new to iTunes 8. I have been using it for years in version 7.

Ah, but it didn't work for particular fields; for example, the video type (TV Show, Movie, etc.). You had to either change each file individually or use the (excellent) Set Video Kind script from Doug's AppleScripts.

The one thing of importance to me that I could not verify from the review was whether or not iTunes now supports 5.1 "stereo".

The DVD player does and the MacMini I have has digital optical output to my Samsung system which does

present the audio as 6 channels. If iTunes cannot handle 5.1 then I would have little interest in using it for HD video.

Also, could I transfer the file to my SAN disk since it wouldn't take long to fill up my internal disk at HD rates!

NAturally, I use iTunes all of the time. Off the top of my head, I've two gripes-not enough radio stations and why do I need a credit card to access free artwork--or anything else that's free?
