Good of them to respond so quickly. My wife just bought a new laptop with Vista and she was worried about installing iTunes 8.
@Dubbalubagis - I don't care that much for Vista myself but really...what's the point of slamming it here? We know it sucks, but the fact is people are using it and they don't have any problems with it. My wife is one of them. Life goes on.

I apologize if I offended you and your wife in any way. That wasn't my intentions. As for slamming Vista, I don't think that was what I did. I was stating that I work with it everyday and everyday for me (considering most of the computers brought to me are broken) Vista is awful.
I just love Mac OS X so much it's hard not to hate on Windows.

I haven't tried the re-release but with display set to 16 bit color in XP Pro, iTunes 8 was the ugliest app I have seen in a long time. The white backgrounds were pink. Fonts were rendered poorly... Was trying to save memory because for some reason my work 3.0 GHz dual-cpu XP system has only 1 GB of RAM. I get "increasing swap file size" messages daily.

We tried to use XP x64 for a while at our shop but with such a pathetic excuse for support we had to go to vista. Microsoft promised all kinds of support for it but in the end no one showed up. It was/is hard just to find printer driver support!
I wouldn't expect any iTunes support in the near future.
