It's kind of pricey. I can get a USB CF reader for less than that. However, for ExpressCard/34 readers that use the SATA interface, it would be potentially faster.

This is useful for some older professional- level digital cameras that may only have CF. I found when traveling in Europe, is has been troublesome to find CF cards while SD cards are readily available in most shops.
I would assume this would also allow for the use of the Eye-Fi SD line of cards to be used in CF cameras.
I also agree with TheBum in that is is probably $10 to $15 more than it needs to be.

I'm trying to find that out now -- I have a call into Delkin, and I'll update the story if they get back to me. If that's the case, I'm sold -- I've got a Canon EOS 30D that I'd love to use with an EyeFi card.

What are the speed specifications? Does it support UDMA access to SDHC? Delkin website has not technical info on this. Very disappointing...

My own experience with using the Eye-fi card in a CF adaptor (of another brand) has been that the wi-fi signal is affected by the Eye-fi card being surrounded by the adaptor. Could be different for the Delkin.

I can see this being really useful for me as my camera only takes CF cards which are often hard to buy locally. Given how convenient it will make buying cards, it's a good price.

@smumac: "older professional- level digital cameras" ? What does that mean?
Most if not all professional-level cameras use CF.

@Cesium133x: I couldn't recall off the top of my head if the new cameras from Nikon and Canon took SD or CF.

Not to split hairs, but I mention this b/c MacWorld has a review of the Rebel XSi: the Canon Rebel XS and XSi both use SD cards. Canon is no longer "CF Only" as they once were.
@Peter -- let us know what you find out re: Eye-Fi and CF !!

I've always wondered how such adapters would work in my cameras and in my card readers. I remember Minolta used to sell their brandname SD-CF adapter back in the days. But now SD and multi-card readers are dirt cheap.
As for the SD/CF DSLR debate, only consumer models use SD. "Professional" models, the ones with better weather sealing, stronger magnesium alloy bodies, and longer shutter life (150K+ actuations), all use CF. Regardless of brand.
