I started using WunderRadio recently because it has such a broad selection of stations. I've been quite pleased with it so far.
Apple needs to allow apps like this to run in the background, like their iPod software does, so I can listen and continue to use the iPhone for other things.

Gets all of my Australian radio stations which is perfect for when I'm out and about and the footy is on! :)

I thought it very short-sighted of Apple not to include AM/FM on the iPhone and iPod Touch. WunderRadio only works when Wifi is available, and my wife wants to listen to what is on the television where she works out. They broadcast over the FM band. She ended up having to take her old walkman instead. AM/FM is not dead by any stretch Apple!

Actually not true.

I' have an original iPhone so I'm using Edge, not 3G, and I listen to the radio streams just fine.

There may be some high bandwidth streams that won't work, but but most stations work just fine.

I can confirm this. WunderRadio works fine over Edge for some low-bandwidth stations. And you'd think it would given that the application classifies stations by their bandwidth requirements (E, 3G, and WiFi).

I should have clarified... I have an iPod Touch, which, according to the Apple Store, WunderRadio can work on, but requires Wifi.

Ah, I see. Right, the touch can communicate only over Wi-Fi so the application is more limited on the touch than it is on the iPhone.

Even if I had an iPhone I don't think I could buy an app from a company that has named itself after domestic terrorists.

You might then also wish to avoid any vendors that offer Service Level Agreements.

yes I agree. I like it tho and have been tuning into stations I missed. Not bad for $6.
But still miss WFMT.
Mine is a jailbroken 3G so I can enable background somewhat with a special app
