The newer versions of Quickbooks are not identical feature for feature with their Windows versions, but they are still, I think, the best small business accounting package available. I've tried Aatrix and a couple others and just haven't found them as easy-to-use or stable as QB. I don't have a degree in accounting and QB seems to understand that.
Intuit really has done a good job of updating the product over the last four years. QB 2009 is a lot better than QB 2006. I like many of the convenience features they have added and overall it seems like they have improved ease-of-use and stability.
If my choices are to use QB on a Mac or to do my accounting on a Windows machine then I'll gladly pay for QB.

Have you tried to sync addresses between QB 2009 and Mac Address Book? This is an important feature for me, because we have dozens of customers and over 100 vendors. With QB 2007, I maintain them separately in QB and Address Book, because the sync was unreliable, losing data in both QA and Address Book. I'm OK with the implementation of sync as long as it does not destroy data. What is your experience? Thanks. (PS. My lowly Nokia 6021i has synced successfully for years. I don't lose data. Syncing is not rocket science.)
