I have a Mac Pro running 10.5.5 and have been having trouble with my AT&T Yahoo DSL service. Recently at random times I was unable to establish a connection to the internet. My AT&T phone line is connected a SpeedStream 5100 modem which I connected to a Linksys DLink 5 WRT54G wireless router (the Linksys router sat on top of the SpeedStream modem) and then to an ethernet port on my tower using ethernet cables. When I talked to a DSL tech person with AT&T they said the router may be interfering with the modem. They said to disconnect the wireless router and connect the modem directly to the computer to see if the problem went away. I moved the router a foot away and connected the router and modem separately to the tower. That was several weeks ago and I have had no connection problems since. However I now cannot get wireless internet service on my laptop. Should I be able to connect my laptop wirelessly to the intenet using the router in this configuration?
