I am really blown away by Classics. First, I never had it crash on me. I read Metamorphosis over a couple days and never had a problem. Obviously, what is tantalizing about this application is its future. It is a lot easier to carry around an iPod than a Kindle, and an iPod is a lot more versatile as an overall device, as well.
Boychuk is right that there need to be improvements made. I personally would like to see someone take this app and start to release contemporary titles, best sellers and the like. Textbooks would be a natural. While Stanza is trying to carve out that space, the aesthetics of Classics has them beat. Combine the functionality and vision of Stanza with the beauty of Classics and you'll really have something.
Watch these two apps closely. I think this is just the beginning of what could be the right format for eBook distribution, maybe via the iTunes Store? (Hint, hint??!!)

I personally think ereader software is great on the iPhone/iPod Touch. It would be awesome if they had the same interface as Classics—maybe they'll think of licensing it.

ereader has a lot of content in their store, both free and paperback priced. It also has the ability to add your own PDB books via web browser download within the program.

Why not use Stanza? You can use the whole "Beyond Gutenberg" Library for free. You can set the font face, size etc. and even font and background colour. I don˚t see any reason why I should pay a dollar for Classics when I can get a far better app for free.
