As a PowerPoint user, It's hard to pay for Keynote without demoing it first. Is there a "trial" version available? Doesn't seem like it.

Hey there,
I'm not sure about a trial version, but Keynote kicks ass...just get it.
It's really cool, stable and rocks harder than The Rolling Stones do these days!
Peace.

Still worried about compatability... Make my presentations on my Mac but generally need to give them from a PC that runs PowerPoint and so would need seamless transferral from Keynote to PowerPoint.

I like most of keynote so far, but have had problems importing complex powerpoint to keynote. Keynote exports to powerpoint genreally work, but some of the artistic elements don't transfer.
If you are Mac only it is a wonderful way to go. If you are mixed mode, powerpoint may be better (although the presentaitons won't look as good)

Here is my question. . . I work for a large software company and we are very Six Sigma and process exellence oriented. I have no need for fancy transitions or animations. (simply not acceptable) Pareto Charts, Bang Boxes and lovely white backgrounds are the norm. What I am interested in is ease of use, how does that compare with PP.
thanks! /forums/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Does Keynote work OK on a Pismo G3500? ie How does it run on Macs with only 8MB video memory and no Quartz Extreme support.

Keynote is, to me, about 500,000,000 times easier to use than PowerPoint, though it takes a while to untrain yourself of the concept of a master slide...
