Review: WriteRoom for iPhone

I'd be interested in a comparison of this and Evernote. I currently use Evernote (free) as my note-taking app on the iphone, and it syncs (via web account, also free for basic) with it's Mac or Windows desktop client. Or maybe you prefer web apps and would rather use Evernote's free web app.
I realize a big difference would be local storage - Evernote notes have to be tagged as a favorite in order to store locally whereas I'm sure WriteRoom is fully localized storage. No big deal for me, just mark all notes as favorites; but I'm sure this would not go over well for others.
I'm thinking a bigger selling point would be the differences offered within the respective desktop clients. Is that a fair assumption?

I would like to mention two alternatives (I have all three and use WriteRoom the least):
- SyncBook has all the customization features (color, fonts) and there is a free sync client for the Mac. It also supports landscape mode, plus it allow for grouping of notes into categories, has colored indicators and you can full-text search across all notes. It is the best syncing notes tool I have found so far.
- For users of the (free or paid) Toodledo service, there is also Appigo's Notebook which automatically syncs with the Toodledo account (and is then available using a Web browser on any platform). It lacks landscape and customization features until now, but they are promised for a revision – notes can also be grouped into different lists though. It is especially compelling when used together with Appigo's ToDo application on the iPhone - you can generate ToDo items from notes and send ToDo items to Notebook (which will then include e.g. address data and contact information of the to do item).
I constantly use these two, WriteRoom and Evernote just sit there.
