Its good to see Microsoft doing something photo related for a Mac product. Hopefully its a sign that OTHER microsoft undertakings will have the mac %50 of photographers in mind. Cough cough photosynth.

Correction: they didn't post a video of Seadragon but a "Get Microsoft Silverlight" badge.
As if Flash video was not crappy enough and we needed some other stupid and convoluted way of working around robust and standard methods for delivering video through the Internet (MPEG-4).

I agree with what I said above.

On an original iPhone and a wifi connection its really fast. Photos were loading almost as quick as I could hit the next button.

Oh.
So it's NOT an app to check the in-stock status of Zunes at Best-Buy?
Well, I just lost THAT bet.

So far, my experience of it has been pretty good. At the moment, it seems the only way to explore Photosynth is to use the search facility as the rest of it is broken (but at least they explain that in the description).
Not all the photos in Photosynth are 3D but it's certainly worth looking at if you want to see lots of photos of a scene (try searching for Eiffel Tower or Barcelona cathedral).
