SimCity comes to iPhone

I used to play SimCity all the time as a kid. I found building and managing cities to be boring as heck. What I would do, however, was take a pre-existing city, bulldoze all highways leading out, as well as all emergency services, then unleash one disaster after another. If I did build anything, it would be a large number of nuclear reactors right next to each other until I got a meltdown.
Juvenile fun for 18 years ago. I don't see myself spending $10 on that now, though.

One of my all-time favorite games (besides Myst) and glad to have a "pocket" version to distract me now! However, after downloading and playing with it for about a half hour, I'm a bit disappointed in missing features and some things just not working properly. Perhaps we'll see fixes and features added in new versions in the near future. For now, it's a great start!
Oh, and so far no crashes for me on my 3G.

Zoo Tycoon fit that mold for me. I'd build a zoo filled with carnivores, then wait for it to fill up with customers. Then I'd wall in the entrance and knock down the barriers to the carnivore cages, and watch as they ate everyone in the park. :) Hell, I still get a kick out of doing that, and I turned 39 last week.
