I have 10.5.6 and Mail 3.5 (930.3), but the update is not showing up in Software Update.

Edit: Opps, didn't read that right.

clicli,
Read the article again. You don't need the update as you HAVE version 3.5 (930.3).

Yes, this is a "fix" and not an "update".

Unfortunately users with other problems are going to download this update and be screaming when it doesn't fix their issue. They simply won't understand that this update is for a very specific problem that some users encountered.

I have a huge problem. I was away for the last week and when I returned I find that I cannot "Send" emails from Mac Mail. I have Mail version 3.5 (930.3) and OS X 10.5.6. I can receive emails. I can go to the Internet with either Safari or Firefox. I can send emails from my webmail account. However, I can't "Send" directly from Mac Mail. Spent hours with AppleCare on the phone. H-e-l-p.

I have just upgraded from Tiger to Leopard with a 10.5.4 DVD followed by a 2 hour download of various associated upgrades including the 10.5.6 combined upgrade.
I have lost all activity through Mail. The program opens but does not display the Message Viewer, when selected it shows an empty Message Viewer, although I can navigate to see my previous mail folders, and the program will not quit - I have to Force Quit.
Lucky I can still access through the internet to my mac.com / me.com connection, however all my subfolders on my iMac are not accessible.
Still searching for the fix. BE CAREFUL if you upgrade.
Not happy.
