I just downloaded the latest version of Stitcher Radio. Free App that delivers talk and news like Pandora does music. GREAT compliment to Pandora's music and I can hear MacWorld there too!

I think the best internet radio app may be the just-released Pocket Tunes, the gold standard on the PalmOS platform.

NetNewsWire over Byline? Wow, your bar is low. Doesn't even matter that NNW is free. Byline blows it away.

In terms of searching for information from the iPhone, there are couple of worthy application along with Google.
Cooliris an Vlingo both offer innovative search capabilities from the iPhone.

Hey! waddayaknow? We share some common apps: NetNewsWire. My number one iPhone app for keeping abreast of the day's news whether I'm on the iPhone or on my Mac's desktop version of NNW - love how they sync over their own servers. I haven't heard of this byline someone else mentions, but why try it out if I'm perfectly happy with NNW. Bloomberg for my stocks and stock-related news. I'd delete the built in Stocks app if I could.

I have no interest in the others apps or what they are for, but I do have a couple more that make my cut.

The Weather Channel is perfect for my daily Harley riding experiences. Down to the hour weather prediction gets to be pretty handy when forecasting out to the next day. Weatherbug was my favorite until this one came out.
Changes by me, to move a line from one para to another.

For a new interesting weather app, have a look at AccuWeather.

Syncing is nice but if you can avoid it you should. With Google Reader, you don't sync because Google Reader is a Web app -- the best Web app I've ever had the pleasure to use (Gmail is my least favorite Web app, but that's another story).

I used to use SportsTap, but I found it so bloody slow. Sportatstic will give me current score of my team within 5 seconds of tapping its icon. That's generally what I'm after in an iPhone sports app.

I prefer AOL Radio because it is FREE and I get some local Los Angeles radio stations along with some of the HD Radio feeds. I can use the same app on the Mac and stream the music to my AirPort Express.

Speaking of radio apps, don't forget Tuner. Maybe it's not full of bells & whistles, but it's a stable, solid application. Not free, but worth the money.
Cheers

I don't think Tuner is being updated anymore. It's lacking a lot of the features of WunderRadio, RadioShift Touch and Pocket Tunes.

Used SportsTap, felt it was so-so and then got Sportacular. Much faster, you can save your favorite teams, schedules, standings..etc. Much, much better IMHO.
Love Netnewswire. There ARE better RSS readers out there, but none synchronize so well between web, desktop, and iPhone applications.
What happened to AP Mobile News? Definitely a favorite of mine.
2nd vote for Vlingo--great voice dialer and great map and google search functionality.

Pandora Radio still isn't in the Philippine App Store up to now. I wonder why. Wunder Radio is.
Of course the greatest frustration goes to iTunes itself, which hasn't been made available by Apple to the Philippines up to now.
